What It Cost Us To Travel, Tour and Explore Dominica For The Day (And Special Guest Appearances From Fuzzbow)
Wrapping Up Our Day Exploring Dominica: Here’s what it cost us to spend a day touring Dominica, visiting 3 amazing tours, lunch, transportation and mooring our boat for the night.
All in all, I think we spent roughly $85 per person (there’s 3 of us) before tip for an entire day’s worth of activities - 5 AM - 5 PM, Including:
starting off with world class service at 5:15 AM helping us get secured to a mooring ball,
a lift over to customs ( I think customs was fairly cheap - under $20 - but don’t quote me!)
Pick up from Customs to Portsmouth
Guided tour in a van to pick up tourism passes ($5-$15/per pass)
Transportation and Guided tour of Syndicate Hiking Trail
(Offroad) Transportation and guided tour to Syndicate Falls / Milton Falls with the world’s most cool demeanor tour guide ever
Transportation down a local lunch spot (~ $10-15/per person after tip)
Guided Off-The-Record Bush Tour (Crappy Must-Have Rum Cocktails Were $3-$5/each)
Lift back to our boat
Mooring cost included in the services.
I mean, the ease of logistics in working with these guys to guide us through our activities, not having to fuss with a rental car, fumbling with directions, this was the perfect solution for us sailors who were looking to get the most out of visiting for one day.
Farkling And Fuzzbow: Our Last Evening With Dominica
Coming back to the boat, I promptly cut my knee open upon trying to do a bush plant photo shoot in the kitchen. A glass-breaking competition ensued, Danny taking the lead, breaking glass while muddling Dominica-inspired cocktails.
He used fresh cinnamon bark, basil, and other bush plants to create the perfect gin and tonic elixir to complement our sunset Farkling session. Laura came in a close second in the glass breaking contest with a full shattering glass episode while cleaning up dinner (she got extra style points for the range of impact.)
We Farkled our way into the evening, all giddy and high from such a fun day exploring the land of many rivers. There was a rare special guest performance by Fuzzball or as his close peers call him, Fuzzbow, Laura’s inseparable childhood stuffed animal, caught on camera.

An exceptional day of tours, an exceptional evening of glass breaking, leg cutting, and Farkling, Fuzzbow performances, and exceptional company...what more could you ask for?
